Clenbuterol is a widely used bronchodilator in many parts of the world. The drug is most often prepared in 20mcg tablets, but it is also available in syrup and injectable form. Clenbuterol belongs to a broad group of drugs knows as sympathomimetics. These drugs affect that sympathetic nervous system in a wide number of ways, largely mediated by the distribution of adrenoceptors. There are actually nine different types of these receptors in the body, which are classified as either alpha or beta and further subcategorized by type number. Depending on the specific affinities of these agents for the various receptors, they can potentially be used in the treatment of conditions such as asthma, hypertension, cardiovascular shock, arrhythmias, migraine headaches and anaphylactic shock.

How Muscles Work

How Muscles Workby Craig C. Freudenrich, Ph.D.

Muscles are one of those things that most of us take completely for granted, but they are incredibly important for two key reasons:
Muscles are the "engine" that your body uses to propel itself. Although they work differently than a car engine or an electric motor, they do the same thing -- they turn energy into motion.
It would be impossible for you to do anything without your muscles. Absolutely everything that you conceive of with your brain is expressed as muscular motion. The only ways for you to express any idea are with the muscles of your larynx, mouth and tongue (spoken words), with the muscles of your fingers (written words or "talking with your hands"), or with the skeletal muscles (body language, dancing, running, building or fighting, to name a few).

7 Days to Leanness

7 Days to Ultimate Leanness
by Chris "Swolecat" Janusz
You've been dieting for a while now with great success. You've shed your layer of winter blubber and now you're ready to show everyone the new you.
Maybe there's a high school reunion you plan on attending and you've been focusing on looking your best. If you're lucky the theme will be Hawaiian, with beachwear encouraged. Sure it's vain, but it's fun to show all those women who wouldn't go out with you back in school what a stud you've become. (Abs can be the best revenge!)
You can already see striations on your chest, a six pack now replaces the keg that was once there, and your legs look like tree trunks. All the hard work you've done leading up to this moment has paid off and you're happy. But ask yourself, is there anything you can do this last week that'll make you stand out just a bit more than anyone else there? Maybe even stand out a lot more? You bet there is! It's called "7 Days To Ultimate Leanness" and it puts the finishing touches on your physique.

Ketogenic Diets - Do they work?

THE KETOGENIC DIET

Does it Work? Let's Clear the Air...

There are a great number of myths associated with the low carb diet. Many authoritative sources have indicated the public must consume a diet which is 60% carbohydrate, 15% protein and 25% fat for optimal health and performance. Carbohydrates are considered the primary fuel source by the body and those who have achieved degrees in institutions of higher learning would like us to believe that dietary carbohydrates are of such importance that without them, we won't survive, or if we do, we'll be so unhealthy we'll wish we were dead. I'm here to tell you these ideas are only partially true and when they reach scare status, with the exception of the very few, they are very wrong.

Bodyopus Outline

BodyOpus
by Enzo Iadevaia
BODYOPUS is a very different type of diet. It was created by Dan Duchaine. As Dan states, it will help you lose fat, and trick the metabolism into anabolic growth. It is a modified version of the old Ultimate Diet and the Rebound Training System. It is a bit similar to the anabolic diet but different because the anabolic diet lets you eat whatever you what, as long as it's on the proper days. Dan lays out which carbs to eat, how much, and when to stop. He also explains how to train and how to reach glycogen supercompensation(carb loading).

Before you start such a radical diet I highly recommend that you see a qualified physician first. After you get checked out and everything is all right then you can begin.

This diet claims to help you lose all the fat you want without losing any muscle. Sounds to good to be true, but believe it or not it works! Actually the first step you should take in BODYOPUS is to believe that it works. BODYOPUS is a low calorie/very low carbohydrate diet for 5 days, coupled with 2 days of high carbohydrates and moderately high calories to achieve glycogen supercompensation. You must also train 3 times for a total of about 5 hours a week.

Muscle Growth and Fat Loss

Muscle Growth and Fat Loss by Stimulating the β-Agonist System - The Role of Ephedrine, Caffeine, and Aspirin
By Michael C. Prevost Ph.D.
I was sent this article by email - I am not sure where it originated from..
The role of the β-agonist (beta agonist) pathway in controlling the body's fat stores, muscle hypertrophy (growth), the body's response to exercise and even muscle fiber type has been brought to light in the last 10 years through the efforts of hundreds of scientists with literally thousands of papers being published on the subject. Clearly, the β-agonist pathway is one of the most important signalling pathways in the body. To understand how the β-agonist pathway works and what role caffeine,
Ephedrine and Aspirin plays in the system one must first understand what a β-agonist is and what they do.

Short Term - High Gain Training Programme

(UPDATED)

Guys,

A friend of mine has been telling me about a, fairly, high intensity training programme that is used to help people get over injuries and return to full strength. After looking it over, I think that with some minor modifications this is an excellent 3-4 week blaster to help fit lifters get through sticking points or build on weak areas.

It can be used both on or off cycle to great effect. I will put something together on using this while on various cycles but for now, this is the basic programme.

It may seem like a lot of exercise (esp for natural lifters) however it can be tailored to suit by adjusting the number of work outs per week.

by christian griffith - phatz.com

Nutrition: Nutrition is the most important part of athletic/fitness achievement. A proper nutrition program is eighty percent of an effective fitness program! Proper eating habits must be consistent, efficient and persistent. Adhering to proper and consistent nutrition will ensure maximum performance for your workouts and maximize results achieved from your exercise program. If you choose not to follow a good nutrition program, you can plan on seeing about twenty percent of the results that would be possible.
